Glitter nails

image

Hey everyone!
I did a new manicure today where the sparkles are thick at the end of your nail and less sparkles near your cuticle.
I started with Nicole by OPI in “Party in the Penthouse” and did 2 coats. I then layered a sparkly glitter polish by Cynthia Rowley and put it down 3/4 of my nail.
Once that dries, do sparkles 1/2 down your nails. Finally, after drying again, put the glitter at mostly your tips. Then finish with a top coat!
This is super easy, and sort of reminds me of mermaids πŸ™‚

Awesome Spring Workout Gear

Hey everyone! I hope everyone that is getting hit with the tornado or snow storms (like me) is staying safe.

Even though there is about 2 feet of snow on the ground outside my house, I am still looking forward to spring. It seems like with spring comes working out, and while that can kind of be a drag, wearing cute stuff can make up for it.

And what can be better than the new Nike gear? These adorable tights are $90, but to me, it seems to be worth the splurge. These look like great quality, and get us out of the mundane and plain workout gear. They look so flattering, and they are water proof. Here is the link:Β http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-703325/pgid-731561

I hope you like them, and if anyone has feedback, please tell me!

Springspiration: Maxi Skirt

Hey guys!

So I know I made a little pun but this is actually a very serious issue! I have wanted (and been searching for) a maxi skirt for so long that I could actually work into outfits. A lot of trends are intimidating, and I find myself avoiding them for silly reasons…”Maxi skirts will probably go out of style”, “Maxi skirts are probably expensive”, “Maxi skirts don’t go with anything in my wardrobe”, etc. But that’s the wrong attitude! I saw this outfit and instantly loved how cool it felt, and it seems quite easy.

The striped shirt is just a basic that I’m sure you all have. It isn’t too tight or too loose either. The skirt hits a little bit below the bust and then is belted with a thick brown belt. (I’m sure any color will do) Leaving your hair slightly curled or even just natural with the glasses or that hat keeps the whole look for getting to fancy to too casual.Β

I can’t wait to try out all the outfit possibilities!

Feedback encouraged, as always πŸ™‚

Medium Length Updos

Hey guys! Sorry for all the hair posts, but I have been reading so much about hair that it has inspired me.

My hair is at the weird length where its kind of long and pretty short and has long layers and short layers and bangs on either side of my face and what am I supposed to do with my hair?! Besides keeping it down, here are a couple ideas for putting your hair up and dealing with all the strands in between.

Any other suggestions, tell me, and I’ll put them up! πŸ™‚

Hair Style Trend For Spring

Hey everyone!

When I did my post about winter into spring hairstyles and colors, I got excellent feedback, so thank you for that!

What I also got were a few questions regarding what I predicted would be the biggest hair trend for spring. So I needed some time to think about this.

What I posted were mostly blonde hair colors, and that is pretty typical for spring. But the more I looked into where spring trends and advertisements were going, I changed my mind.

Now don’t hold me to this, I could be wrong, but this is just a prediction. (I am usually good at it though) My predictions are that this beautiful red-brown color. It is amazing against spring florals, pale pink and sea foam green pastels, and white lace and blazers. It isn’t completely dark (like my hair…) and it isn’t so light that it gets lost in the lighter spring tones.

While blonde and black hair can also be done so well with spring styles, this red-brown is a pretty good in-between place where girls might feel safe doing it. It’s subtle, and very very pretty.

I also predict that the longer curls will be trending as well. It softens the clothes one wears, making it extra-girly for spring.

Yes, Miley Cyrus may have chopped off her hair and bleached it, and many other may too, but I believe a beautiful brown with red tints and long luscious curls will be what is seen everywhere throughout this winter into spring.

Feedback, as always, is welcome! Thank you guys πŸ™‚
