Today I made a really east makeup brush holder in about 15 minutes. All you need is a mason jar, acrylic paint, glitter, and a sponge/paintbrush.
To start this I laid down some newspaper and took a navy blue acrylic paint and mixed some gold craft glitter into it. I then took a sponge and dipped it in the paint, and sponged the inside of the jar in a circular motion.
I let the paint dry from about 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and then put my makeup brushes in the jar, and I’m putting bobby pins and hair clips in the small jar. It’s hard to see the sparkles completely on the dried jar, but they are definitely there in the light!
What creative things have you done with mason jars?
I bought a new foundation recently that was surprisingly wonderful. Neutrogena is usually an amazing brand, but this product didn’t start out all daisies and roses. But if you are willing to give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
To be honest, when I first applied this product, I hated it! It sat on top of my skin at first, but after a few minutes, it seemed to sink right into my face.
As you can see from the pictures, it goes on very wet, and sort of sits there for a minute. I usually put it on slowly and evenly, while using a brush to spread it out while it blend into my skin. From the last picture, you can see it minimizes redness and any imperfections. It leaves me looking creamy and even for the whole day. It is also the first foundation that I’ve felt made a difference on my skin! When I wash my face at night, I usually wet my face with my hands first, and my face even feels creamy and soft! Overall it has helped with my oily nose during the day, and it has great coverage, it just has to set in for a minute when applied.
It was about $14, and this specific color is in #10: “Classic Ivory”.
Have any of you used this product?
