The Best Holiday Party Outfits (By Brand)

Quite a bold statement there, isn’t it? While these outfits might not be everyone’s cup of tea, these were my favorite pieces from holiday collections this year. My favorite time of year is fall and winter, and when the best stores bring out holiday stuff, I go crazy. These are my five favorite brands and I wanted to show you how I would put together a party look for each one! Each one has a different feel for a different type of person or party. But each of them have adorable pieces that I feel like I NEED in my closet!

Modcloth Holiday Party

As you can see, I added a few pieces that weren’t from the brands so that you could imagine how to incorporate things you may already own into the party outfit. While I love them all, I think my favorite is Modcloth. I’ve been the biggest fan of them lately and they have amazing sales going on right now! But since these are all my favorite stores, they all feel very close to my heart.
Which was you favorite party look?

Fall Neutrals

Did you know I’m obsessed with Polyvore? I honestly can’t help but go on and try to make fun outfits or make collections of things. I feel like it’s the perfect site for becoming inspired and being creative. I truthfully go there almost every morning for outfit ideas.
I’m not being sponsored by them at all, I just love playing around with the site and trying new things. I made this collection a few days ago about Fall Neutrals because I needed help finding basic pieces for outfits. This was so fun to make because I could use all my favorite colors and themes for fall and put them in one place. There’s a good amount of outfits in this collection to look through. Most of them are similar to my style or just things I enjoyed looking at!

OOTD- April 23, 2015

As you may know, I’ve been trying to take more OOTD pictures. This is kind of a hard task at my dorm right now because our space is so tiny and I usually don’t have my tripod for taking things outside. However, once I get home for the summer, I plan on forcing myself to use the tripod and take really good quality pictures. Until then, I’ll still share with you what I can.

Today’s outfit was very casual, but still looked stylish. I focused on using all casual pieces that can work together. I think the Asos boots pulled it all in.

I’ve had this Abercrombie shirt since middle school. But I always find appropriate times to wear it! it never goes out of style and it looks great thrown on with anything. The black skirt is from H&M and was another great cheap purchase. My jacket is from Express (you probably recognize it from previous OOTDs). I also am wearing my Kate Spade sunglasses.

This is another transitional outfit that will take you from winter to spring. I love layering, and this is a great way to do that with a basic black skirt.

You could also very easily wear this with Converse or even flip flops as it gets warmer. There are a lot of things you could switch in to mix and match. I love outfits that use mostly staples because you can really experiment with you closet. It’s important to have this kind of stuff when you live in New England.

I also straightened my hair for once. I really like the way it looks! What have you guys been wearing in these spring-weathered weeks?

OOTD- Easter 2015

OOTD easterDSCF2622_retouched

This is a little late since Easter was a few days ago, but I wanted to show you what I wore! I also want to apologize for another in-my-house picture, but it was actually snowing really hard on Easter. I thought we were over that! What happened!

You may recognize this from my eShakti review, I thought this dress was just perfect for Easter. It wasn’t too fancy, but it was dressy enough since my whole family was joining us. The cream and black color is so classic! Everyone at our Easter party loved the dress.

Did you have a nice Easter?

Spring Lookbook 2015

lookbook10lookbook9lookbook8lookbook6lookbook5lookbook4lookbook2lookbook1lookbook12I finally have all the pictures for my Spring Lookbook! I went shopping not too long ago and felt like it was appropriate over spring break to take some pictures.

I was pretty limited as space goes to shoot because there is snow everywhere. I don’t really understand how this keeps happening, but the snow keeping falling down. I guess that’s what you get for living in New England. I made due though, that’s why many pictures were inside. It was difficult with rain/snow to do many outdoor shots.

Also, my dog Rex made a cameo! He ran away right after that was taken and wouldn’t come back. He usually like the camera, but he smelled some food that was more interesting to him. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

11. (New) Blush worn in all pictures: Mac Sheertone Shimmer Blush in “Trace Gold”

As you can tell, I shopped a lot at Target. I’ll be honest, their stuff is very good this season. I found so many trendy things!

I also bought adorable new fairy lights for my room but I forgot to include them. They look like the rustic outdoor ones and I can’t wait to put them up in my dorm. There were many other types of fairy lights at Target like lanterns and flowers.

I hope this gave you some spring inspiration! I needed a pick-me-up after this very cold winter. I can’t wait for the warmer weather. I’ve been trying bronzer and things to warm up my face a bit for preparation. Soon we won’t have to wear tights anymore!

I also wanted to mention that I’ve been using my new Mac blush that is the “Trace Gold” but on me, it’s more like a shimmery bronzer. I use it all over and it gives me a slight glow. If you’re pale and want a bit of color, this is a great blush for you. It’s my first Mac blush, so I’m excited to keep using it!

That’s it for today’s post, I’ll talk to you soon!
