I know I did another outfit post earlier, but I love the exact opposite of the previous style as well. Instead of a bright maxi skirt, a longer neutral skirt is so vintage that it makes the blazer and flats look like a cozy outfit. The bow tied around the neck is adorable, and easily done with a scarf. I love the green and cream together. This neutral type of spring is a favorite for me as well. What do you think?
We haven’t had one of these in awhile!
I read a great blog post of my friends and she really got me in the spirit for the holidays! And what do I do when I am in the mood for the holidays? I Think of outfits.
This outfit is amazing, and is actually SO easy to do.
First of all, denim shirts are everywhere. I found so many cheap ones and Forever 21 or possibly H&M, but there are better quality and more expensive one at places like Banana Republic, Guess, J. Crew, etc. I actually stole my boyfriend’s o.o
Now this jacket is actually just a brown blazer, and you don’t see a lot of that now. I have every color blazer it seems but brown. But that’s ok, I feel any blazer will do.
Most types of jeans are good for this outfit, but try to keep them slim. Now the socks under the riding boots are hard for me, I have been looking all over for good quality socks. If anyone has any suggestions for cheaper, good quality socks for boots, let me know!! The best place for these socks that I can think of is T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. Seriously, these places had comfy knitted socks that I was so excited about. Just put them over your jeans, and sort of bunch them up. Then put on your boots and fix your socks to look right with the jeans and the boots and everything.
The scarf in this outfit matches the socks, which I think is a fabulous idea. It draws your eye up and down the body, and makes you look very put together! This is a very big chunky knitted circle scarf that you just need to loop around your head twice, and you are done!!
Try this out for a good festive look! 🙂
I think one of the hardest things for me to do is figure out with what temperature I’m supposed to wear things, and when to wear winter jackets, when to wear tights, when to not wear peep toes, ah! It’s a bunch of trial and error if you ask me. So I thought I would talk about what I usually do when transitioning from cool weather, to cold weather, to freezing.
Here in this outfit, is something i would wear if it was at least less than 50 degrees out. I would consider that a (very nice) winter peacoat. The leggings, the scarf, and the snow (obviously) tell you that this is for the colder months that are up ahead. But what about in-between?
70’s-When it starts getting to be fall and we’re in the low 70s weather, I tend to start wearing leggings or jeans with tank tops or tee shirts. I don’t usually wear any jackets or anything around this time.
65-70 Usually around the upper 60’s I start wearing a jacket that I’m prepared to take off when it gets a little warmer in the afternoon. I still wear jeans and things, but I balance with less on top, like a tank or tee. If I wear a skirt or a dress, I usually bring a jacket or a sweater to keep the chill off.
60-65 This is basically what was all last week in Massachusetts. This is the typical fall weather, where i wear heavier sweaters and trench coats that I plan on keeping on all day. I start wearing heavier scarves and leaving my summer ones behind. This is when I stop with any peep toe or sandal type of heel or shoe.
50-60 This is actually what it has been like today and yesterday, very cold! I haven’t worn any winter coats yet, but I do wear heavier jackets and sweaters, and I ensure to have something on my legs when i wear skirts and dresses, like tights or leggings. I start bundling up and wearing more and more scarves and bring coffee to school. (Coffee, in my opinion, is an accessory!)
Anything below 50 degrees, means I am wearing a winter jacket. On the normal sunny days, I will wear a winter jacket and maybe leggings like in this picture. If it’s colder out because of wind or cloudy skies, I will opt for some leather fancy gloves to keep my warm. But if it’s especially windy or raining, I will bundle up with a huge scarf, knit gloves, a hat, anything to keep me warm!
This is my main layout of how I dress when it gets colder. I hope it helps some of you out! I know not all places are the same when it gets to be fall, but if the temperatures are similar to your climate, you can use this!
Now that it’s colder and I’m breaking out all my fall clothes, I have to come up with good outfits that also keep me warm. I find that i often have to tell myself not to compromise comfort because I like the outfit I have on (and it happens very often). This outfit doesn’t compromise anything!
The sweater over a shirt thing is my favorite. I love layers! I like the white underneath, with the tan oversized shirt over it. It flows in all the right places!
I love the jeans and the boots, because I like the look of the dark wash with a black boot. But i wouldn’t choose this style of boot, I would actually go for a riding boot or a chunky motorcycle boot with this outfit. These boots almost make it too casual for me. The black circle scarf is brilliant, matching the boots, and breaking up the lightness of the white and tan shirt with your face. Lastly, a simple cuff studded bracelet isn’t too much, but gives the appearance that you put effort into your style.
I hope you liked this! Thanks guys 🙂
Eva Longoria is so beautiful and effortless. She has that latina natural beauty that is shared by girls like Selena Gomez. They always look natural and devastatingly beautiful!
Eva also reflects that in her wardrobe; natural, casual, and flattering. She has a plain, nicely fitted grey long sleeved top with a beautiful blue scarf (this color is huge right now) that flows over it to give some dimension. Her jeans are tight and flatter her figure as well, and her bag is so chic and simple! Her accessories of a couple bracelets and some big sunglasses complete the whole “effortless Hollywood” look. Her makeup is natural, as always.
She is an inspiration! When I am dressing more casual, I always look to Eva Longoria for the effortless looks without so much work!
Thanks guys, you can find her look and many other beautiful celeb looks at stylebistro.com
Thank you guys!
Today’s outfit of the day is so cozy and beautiful, I think I might where something like this for my brother’s birthday party today!
The black skinny jeans are perfect tucked into a pair of black wedge booties. It draws a long black line down your leg, making you look leaner! A cream button up shirt is tucked into the black jeans, looking so chic. On top of that is an off-white chunky sweater-jacket. It is long and draped over those long legs, and also is long in the arms, making you look comfy and fashionable all at once. The red scarf is wrapped in a circle around her neck, balancing out the whole outfit. Lastly, the beautiful over the shoulder bag has the redish-orange of the scarf, along with color blocking some brown in there to pick up the fall feel! The sunglasses make you look oh-so-chic like a movie star. Perfection!
I don’t have any information about these items, but these are all so easy to find!
Thanks guys, I hope you enjoyed it! 🙂
I love this outfit so much that my new mission is finding this color jean!! To start, this beautiful charcoal sweater is from Urban Outfitters. I love the texture of it! It looks so casual! The striped shirt underneath is from Target, which is great because it matches the color of the sweater. The orange corduroy pants are from Anthropologie, which I love. The brown Mary Jane flats are from target. I love these because they do dress up an outfit instead of just some old sneakers, but they aren’t too flashy, they’re comfy! I don’t know where the scarf is from, but it is so cute. I love the way the cream looks against the dark sweater!!
This outfit is from a blog called merricksart.blogspot.com so check them out!!!
Thanks guys, I hope you loved the colors in this outfit for fall the way I did!!
Today’s item is a beautiful Black Disc Cut-out Scarf. This is the best item you can have for fall because when you have a semi-simple fall outfit, this does all the accessorizing that you need to do. The scarf is cut long instead of square, so you can knot it or wrap it around your neck.
This beautiful scarf is a little bit expensive, pricing at $132.00 at Keep.com
Thanks guys! Happy shopping!
Side note: I just signed up for keep.com and had no idea what i was getting myself into, it is so addicted! I suggest you guys check it out.
Hey everyone! Today’s outfit of the day is comfy, sexy, and casual all in one wonderful look! The creamy chunky sweater is a great base for a fall outfit because you can wear it with/over so many things. The black skirt is the sexy part! It has the fall darks that we love (not to mention next to the cream, it looks gorgeous!), and it is the right length to wear in the fall with tights. The tights are just sheer black tights, but they still are so sexy and look great with this skirt. It looks like she has on black booties or maybe a black shoe with black chunky socks, but either will do with this outfit. The accents of the black circle scarf and brown leather messenger bag make it look like an effortless ensemble for those brisk days we are getting!
I hope you guys love it!
Thanks guys XOXO
